We cannot wait to get stuck-in to Year 4! We have so much to look forward to in our new topic - The Vicious Vikings. We will learn all about the homelands of the Vikings and plot these on maps using compass points. We will also look at Viking settlements and countries the Vikings traded with.
In English, we will be reading There's a Viking in my Bed by Jeremy Strong and The Saga of Eric the Viking by Terry Jones. We will explore persuasive letters and features of a newspaper and diaries.
In Science, we will focus on the water cycle as well as the human digestive system.
In Maths we will learn more about place value and representing numbers to a thousand. Included in this will be partitioning, and the four operations. In Art, we will be designing a mythical creature experimenting with all seven elements of art.
We look forward to seeing all the amazing creativity and enthusiasm for this term!
